What’s your return / exchange policy?

If you are unhappy with your purchase of an original painting or drawing, please contact me within 24 hours and we can discuss a return and refund. The return postage including insurance must be covered by the customer and the artwork must be carefully packaged to ensure a safe return. Please note we do not offer a refund for change of mind, and we do not offer refunds on sale items.

Paper and canvas prints are professionally made on demand and therefore are printed specifically for you. This means that sales are final, and I unfortunately will not be able to offer returns or exchanges on these items. Therefore, please double check the size of the artwork before purchasing.

Please note that for all artworks, the colours you see on your screen may be slightly different to those in the artwork itself. Colours can appear different on different screens versus the reality.

What happens if my artwork is damaged during delivery?

Your painting will be carefully packaged with a protective layer of acid free tissue paper, followed by bubble wrap, before it is packaged in it's carboard box. Prints and drawings are sent in a card-backed envelope or a cardboard tube depending on their size. All artwork should arrive safety and securely. However, in the unlikely event that your artwork is damaged during shipping, please contact me either via my website or via info@judycenturyart.com within 24 hours of receipt with photographs of the damaged goods so that we can discuss further.

Do you take commissions?

Yes, I’m happy to take on commissions based on my previous works and style. Please email me either via the website or at info@judycenturyart.com to discuss your requirements and to share the process. I’d love to hear from you.

How can I be the first to know when new paintings are available?

The best way to find out about new paintings and drawings is to follow me on Instagram - judycenturyart - and to subscribe to my newsletter via my website. I send out quarterly updates to my newsletter followers.

Which mediums do you use?

I use Acrylic paint for my paintings. It’s fast drying which suits my technique of energetic brushstrokes, and it works well with a bit of water mixed in to give versatile effects.

For drawings, I used coloured pencil crayons and usually like to finish off highlights with a white fluid marker pen.

How are your canvas paintings finished?

The sides of your canvas painting are also painted so that the picture continues around the edge of the canvas. This gives it a completed look and you do not necessarily need to add a frame as it is ready to hang. Paintings are finished with a coat of varnish which protects and enhances them and prolongs their life. I am happy to advise on framing or to arrange framing of your painting. Please contact me to discuss options and pricing.

How can I purchase a painting?

All paintings are for sale through this website. If a painting has sold, it will be marked ‘SOLD OUT’ when you click on the image, otherwise everything else you see is available to buy. My website is a portfolio website and therefore all prices are by enquiry, and sales will be organised after contacting me. But all paintings on my website are available to buy, either directly through me, or via galleries (as indicated in the description on each painting.)

If you like something which has previously sold, or like something but would prefer a different colour palette to suit your room and setting, please contact me to discuss commissions.

(ii) Workshops & Classes

Do I need to be able to paint to attend one of your workshops?

Absolutely not! My workshops are designed for all abilities, from people who want to try something new, to people who want to expand their creative practice! I will tailor my guidance to suit your ability and confidence. I believe that everyone can have a go and can produce something that will surprise them, so it's worth taking the plunge!

What is your workshop cancellation policy?

In the event that you are unable to attend a booked workshop, please get in touch to discuss either transferring your booking to another session, or the possibility of a full or partial refund. Cancellations made more than a week before the event will be eligible for a refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 1 week before the session are eligible for a 50% refund, and cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session will not be refunded (unless the place can be filled). Sessions bought as gifts are subject to the same cancellation policy.

Friends and family may attend in your place for any workshop. Please provide me with the names and contact details of anyone attending in your place.

All workshops have a minimum attendance level which is stated in the information for each session, and workshops may be cancelled if too few bookings are received.

I reserve the right to cancel or postpone workshops and courses at any time. If a workshop is cancelled, you will be fully refunded.

Is there a minimum age for your workshops?

My workshops and classes are aimed at adults, and so I usually suggest that the minimum age is 13+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Many of my venues are pubs and therefore they have their own over 18 age restrictions, especially in the evenings. If a class has an age restriction, it will be listed in the information when you click on the particular session, but please contact me to check if you are unsure.

Do you do parties?

Yes! I'd love to be part of your special celebrations. I run parties for kids and adults - I have different formats for each. All the information can be found at the end of my Painting workshops page on my website. You can choose from a menu of painting options as to what you paint with your friends and family. I've run parties for kids 7+, hen parties, corporate team events, an 80th birthday party and many more in between!
